Description of the original aerial cableway
A Funifor is a wind-stable aerial cableway with a wide suspension cable. The short suspension enables a compact and flat design of the stations. Thanks to independent drives, it is possible to operate the individual cabins, which makes maintenance and recovery work easier.
The installations on sections 2 and 3 of the new Schilthornbahn are the first aerial cableways in Switzerland to use the Funifor system.
